My name is Sam, and I love to do a variety of things – mostly outdoors whenever I can, but I do also enjoy crocheting, cooking, and reading.
I’ve struggled to find my place in the workforce and decided to start blogging in the meantime.

My Unselfish Life – Behind the Name
Here’s a little background on the title of my blog – My Unselfish Life
My husband and I made the decision before we got married to not have kids. Now you would think this is a personal choice, and the only ones that should be allowed to have an opinion on the matter would be my husband and I. If you’ve made the same choice, you know how wrong we were in thinking that.
I can’t even tell you the amount of times I’ve been told I was selfish (among other things) for not having children. After being told something for so long by so many, I started to believe it. In the last few years I’ve done a lot of work on myself (don’t worry, you’ll get to read more about this in my posts – so don’t go anywhere!) and came to realize that it didn’t matter what other people thought. My decision was not based on selfishness – and so became My Unselfish Life.
